Dr. A.J. Giesa founded gvd Aesthetics & Rehabilitation to create a more refined approach to cosmetic and restorative dentistry—one centered on precision, artistry, and a concierge-level patient experience. With 20 years of experience, he is dedicated to designing beautiful, functional smiles that restore confidence and quality of life.
Originally from Kennewick, Washington, Dr. Giesa attended Western Washington University on a basketball scholarship, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He later moved to Philadelphia to pursue his dental education at Temple University School of Dentistry. Dr. Giesa graduated in 2006 and was awarded the Marin N. Kravitt, DDS Class of 1944 Award for excellence in clinical ability.
Professional Experience and Affiliations
After completing his dental training, Dr. Giesa returned to his hometown, where he practiced for approximately six years. He and his wife, a Berks County native, later relocated to Pennsylvania to be closer to family and establish long-term roots in the community.
Dr. Giesa is an active member of the American Dental Association and the Pennsylvania Dental Association. He is a past President and current member of the Berks County Dental Society and is also a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

Outside the Office
Dr. Giesa and his wife, Dr. Lisa, have four children. Outside of dentistry, family life remains an important part of his day-to-day priorities.
